Literature Text

He shies away from the shadow, squirming deeper into the dull black abyss beneath his bed as Cliché passes, a beautiful mess with golden hair and an enchanting smile. Yet her willowy frame shakes with the fragility of an unfinished copy, who has been seen and heard and lived before. As he stares at her porcelain legs, he wonders if perhaps all Cliché needs is a companion. Not him, but someone else who will not use her, and will instead help her metamorphose into a rare new soul, fully alive with iridescent wings. But no, he is too normal to help Cliché, for average cannot cure average. So he lets her pass, shunning her presence with pity-filled eyes.
Avoiding cliches is a cliche in and of itself.

Well. Now I'm not sure if I'm an average writer or what :P

Excellent writing, by the way!
